Biography Jim received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from James Madison University in 1994 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1997. He served as Pro Se Law Clerk to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division, from 1997 to 1998. He then joined Furniss, Davis, Rashkind and Saunders, P.C. where he has concentrated on defending civil lawsuits for a number of insurance companies and governmental entities. He is co-author of “John Doe Pleadings: Not Just for the Uninsured Motorist Anymore?” published in The Journal of Civil Litigation in 2011. Jim is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, the Defense Research Institute, the Local Government Attorneys of Virginia, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, the Virginia Beach Bar Association and the James Kent American Inn of Court. |
